Leesa K. Donner

Leesa K. Donner has a BA in communications/journalism from Pennsylvania State University and is a graduate student at the Reformed Theological Seminary in Washington, DC. A member of Fourth Presbyterian Church (EPC), Bethesda, Maryland, since 1993, she has taught ladies’ Bible study for more than a decade. Every Sunday morning for the past seven years, she has had the privilege of teaching her favorite group of students—young adults with special needs. In 2011, Leesa served as host of the video series C.S. Lewis’s Case for Christ with Dr. Art Lindsley and was featured in Ministry & Leadership Magazine for her work “incorporating theological education in a life of influence.”

In her former life, she worked in the broadcast news industry as a television news anchor, reporter, and producer at NBC, CBS, and FOX affiliates in Charlotte, Pittsburgh, and Washington, DC. For twenty-five years she served as creative director of Horizons Television, which specializes in television production for nonprofit organizations.

Leesa has been married for twenty-six years to Tim Donner, who ran for the U.S. Senate from the Commonwealth of Virginia in 2012. She is the mother of two “special” boys, William and T. J., who often serve as her spiritual mentors. In her spare time, Leesa loves to cook, interior decorate, and take her .357 Magnum to the pistol range for target practice.
